helpdesk technician for the University of Michigan Hospital, but I'm waiting on some better prospects, so I hope to move this job down to past jobs soon.
My first job was at Meijer, at the age of 14. I worked there pushing carts and bagging groceries until my 16th birthday, when something better came along.
On my 16th birthday, I started working for the Ann Arbor Public Schools, setting up soccer goals for their Recreation & Education department. The boss was my friend's Step-Mother, so the resulting pay was great. But the work was seasonal, so I was on the hunt for a real job.
In November of 1997, I found it. Electronics Boutique was probably the best job I've had yet, I think I'd still be working there if I had been able to step up to assistant manager. Except for the period from June 2000 until November 2000, I worked there until June 2001.
In that down period, I worked for Circuit City & Wizzywig. In taking those jobs I learned that the grass isn't always greener, and that you can love a store and hate working there, respectively.
After EB decided not to get a replacement assistant manager, I went to Manpower and began working for AMG. There I did data entry, quite mind-numbing work, but another of my favorites. I loved not having customers!
